A sense of the place
Caesars Palace opened in 1966, and in 2026 it marks its 60th year as one of the Strip's defining resorts. Jay Sarno's Roman fantasy of marble, statues and fountains has grown into a small city: about 3,960 rooms in six towers, a casino of roughly 124,000 square feet, one of the busiest shopping malls in Las Vegas and a 4,300-seat theater.
It sits on the west side of the center Strip at 3570 Las Vegas Blvd S, between Bellagio to the south and the former Mirage site to the north (being rebuilt as Hard Rock). The Flamingo and The Cromwell face it across the boulevard. Caesars Entertainment runs the resort, and VICI Properties owns the real estate.
Caesars suits people who want the classic big-Vegas experience in the middle of everything: a famous name, big shows, serious dining and an easy walk to Bellagio, Paris and the LINQ. If you want quiet or a small hotel, look elsewhere, because this is one of the largest and busiest resorts on the Strip.
What to look for
The Forum Shops: a mall under a painted "sky" with luxury brands, restaurants and the free Fall of Atlantis animatronic show, which has run hourly from 11 a.m. over a 50,000-gallon aquarium.
The Colosseum: a 4,300-seat theater that hosts headline residencies and concerts. Check what's on before you book your dates.
Garden of the Gods: a pool complex of several pools on about 8 acres, open seasonally. The OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar, which opened in May 2026, overlooks the Strip.
Dining: the Bacchanal Buffet is one of the city's best-known buffets, alongside Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen, Peter Luger Steak House, Nobu and Restaurant Guy Savoy. During 2026 several restaurants offer 60th-anniversary menus.
Nobu Hotel: a boutique hotel within the resort, with its own check-in.
The 60th anniversary: limited-time dining and cocktail menus run through December 31, 2026.
