A sense of the place
Fontainebleau Las Vegas finally opened on December 13, 2023, after one of the longest waits in Strip history. Construction started in 2007 and stalled in 2009, leaving a half-built blue tower on the North Strip for more than a decade. Today it is a 67-story resort with 3,644 rooms and suites, often described as the tallest occupied building in Nevada.
It stands at 2777 Las Vegas Blvd S on the east side of the North Strip, with Resorts World across the boulevard, Wynn and Encore to the south and SAHARA to the north. The Las Vegas Convention Center's West Hall is right behind it. It is run by Fontainebleau Development, the company behind the original Fontainebleau in Miami Beach.
Fontainebleau suits travellers who want something new and polished, a big pool scene and Miami-style nightlife, or who are in town for a convention. The trade-off is location: it is a long walk from the center Strip, so plan on rides for most of your sightseeing.
What to look for

Lapis Spa & Wellness: a 55,000-square-foot, two-level spa.
Dining: about three dozen bars and restaurants opened with the resort, including Komodo, Papi Steak, Don's Prime and Mother Wolf.
The holiday ice rink: a real-ice rink on the Oasis pool deck returns from November 19, 2026 to January 17, 2027. See our Las Vegas at Christmas guide.
