A sense of the place

ARIA Las Vegas opened on December 16, 2009, as the main hotel of CityCenter, the cluster of curved glass towers between Park MGM and Bellagio. It has 4,004 rooms, including 568 suites, and a casino of about 150,000 square feet, the only casino in CityCenter. When it opened it was billed as the largest hotel in the world with LEED Gold certification.

CityCenter also includes Vdara, a non-gaming hotel, and The Shops at Crystals, the luxury mall on the Strip frontage. ARIA sits back from Las Vegas Boulevard, so most people arrive by car, by the free tram or on foot through Crystals. MGM Resorts runs ARIA, and Blackstone has owned the real estate since 2021.

ARIA suits travelers who want a modern, polished resort in the middle of the Strip, with strong restaurants and an easy link to Bellagio and Park MGM. MGM Resorts said in 2025 that ARIA's rooms would be renovated starting in 2026, so ask about work on your floor when you book.

What to look for

  • Proper Eats Food Hall: a 24,000-square-foot food hall on the second-level promenade, in the space of the old buffet. Proper Eats has stalls such as Egghead, Laughing Buddha, Lola's Burgers, PizzAoki and Temaki Bar, plus a hidden entrance to Easy's Cocktail Lounge.

  • Gymkhana: the first U.S. location of the two-Michelin-star London restaurant and the first Indian restaurant on the Strip. Gymkhana serves a spicy menu built for sharing.

  • More dining: Jean Georges Steakhouse, CATCH, Bardot Brasserie, Javier's, Carbone and Din Tai Fung are all in the resort.

  • Fine art collection: the ARIA Fine Art Collection is free to see in public spaces. Maya Lin's Silver River, an 84-foot cast of the Colorado River, hangs above the check-in desk, and Jenny Holzer's LED work Vegas is also part of the collection. Nancy Rubins' Big Edge, a burst of boats, stands at Vdara.

  • Nightlife: JEWEL Nightclub opened in 2016 and holds about 1,900 people.

  • ARIA Express tram: the free ARIA Express tram links Park MGM, Crystals and Bellagio. It has run from about 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
