The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas is a stylish center-Strip resort of two glass towers, known for the Chandelier bar, Secret Pizza, hidden speakeasies, Wicked Spoon and Marquee.

A sense of the place

The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas opened on December 15, 2010, on a narrow site in the middle of the Strip. It has about 3,000 rooms in two towers, the Chelsea and the Boulevard, above a casino of roughly 100,000 square feet. MGM Resorts has run it since buying the operations in 2022, and it is part of Marriott's Autograph Collection.

It stands at 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S on the west side of the center Strip. The Jockey Club and Bellagio are to the north, and CityCenter, with The Shops at Crystals and ARIA, is to the south. That puts the Bellagio fountains, Crystals and ARIA within a short walk.

Cosmo suits people who care about food, cocktails and nightlife more than theme-park spectacle. Much of its fun is hidden: unmarked pizza, speakeasies behind fake doors and a bar inside a chandelier. If you want a quiet, family-style stay, it is not the best fit, since the casino and bars stay busy late.

What to look for

  • The Chandelier: a three-story bar wrapped in about two million crystals, in the middle of the casino. On the middle level (Level 1.5), ask for the Verbena, an off-menu tequila cocktail garnished with a Sichuan flower. See it on the map.

  • Secret Pizza: there is no sign. Take the escalator by the Chandelier to Level 3 and look for the hallway lined with records. It sells pizza by the slice.

  • Hidden bars: Ghost Donkey serves mezcal and tequila behind a door marked with a white donkey in Block 16 Urban Food Hall. The Barbershop hides behind a door near the Bellagio-side entrance, and the Ski Lodge sits on the Chelsea Tower's second floor.

  • Dining: Wicked Spoon is a buffet that serves dishes in small individual plates. Beauty & Essex hides behind a pawn shop front, and Superfrico mixes Italian-American food with a raunchy Spiegelworld show. The Corner Store, from New York's SoHo, is due to open on Level 3 on November 9, 2026.

  • Pools and Marquee: the Boulevard Pool overlooks the Strip and hosts summer Dive-In Movies. Marquee runs a dayclub and a nightclub.

  • No more ice rink: the holiday rink on the Boulevard Pool deck ran from 2011, but its equipment was put up for auction in November 2025. Don't plan a winter visit around it. Our Las Vegas at Christmas guide lists what's on instead.

Before you go

  • Resort fee: about $55 per night plus tax since December 2024. Check the amount shown when you book.

  • Parking: self-parking has been about $20 a day for hotel guests, a little more for visitors at weekends, and valet costs more. Nevada residents get three free hours, and MGM Rewards Pearl members and above park free. Check rates before you drive, since event pricing can apply.

  • From the airport: Cosmopolitan is in taxi Zone 2, a flat fare of $25.25 plus fees in 2026. Our airport to the Strip guide has the details.

  • Getting around: walking is easiest. Bellagio is next door, and ARIA and Crystals are a short walk south. The nearest Monorail stop is the Horseshoe / Paris station, across the Strip behind Horseshoe. See our Las Vegas Strip walking distances guide.

  • Dive-In Movies: in summer the Boulevard Pool shows films on the marquee screen above the Strip. Hotel guests get in free, and others have paid about $15 ($10 for Nevada locals). Check the schedule before you go.

  • Free things to do: walking the casino, looking for Secret Pizza's hallway and seeing the Chandelier cost nothing. Pair them with the free Bellagio fountains next door.

How much is the resort fee at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas?

About $55 per night plus tax, after MGM Resorts raised it in December 2024. Resort fees change, so check the total shown when you book.

Where is Secret Pizza in the Cosmopolitan?

On Level 3. Take the escalator next to the Chandelier bar up to Level 3, then walk down the unmarked hallway lined with vinyl records. There is no sign outside.

Is parking free at the Cosmopolitan?

No, for most visitors. Self-parking has been about $20 a day for hotel guests and valet costs more. Nevada residents get three free hours, and MGM Rewards Pearl members and above park free.

Does the Cosmopolitan still have an ice rink?

No. The holiday ice rink that ran on the Boulevard Pool deck from 2011 was put up for auction in November 2025, which appears to end the tradition. Fontainebleau's rink on the North Strip is the alternative.
