The Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026 runs from Thursday, November 19 to Saturday, November 21, with the race on Saturday night at 8 p.m. Pacific time. It is a street race that uses the Strip itself and wraps around the Sphere, so it changes how you get around, where you stay and what you can see for a few days.
This guide covers dates, the track, getting around, watching without a grandstand ticket and hotel costs. We label what is confirmed for 2026 and what is a 2025 pattern. If you are new to the layout of the Strip, start with our Las Vegas Strip map with every hotel in order so the names below make sense.

When is the Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026?
The race weekend is Thursday, November 19 to Saturday, November 21, 2026. Formula 1 says the race is Saturday night at 8 p.m. local time. Formula 1 shows its schedule in UTC-based clock times, so we converted the session times to Pacific:
Thursday: Practice 1 at 4:30 p.m., Practice 2 at 8 p.m.
Friday: Practice 3 at 4:30 p.m., qualifying at 8 p.m.
Saturday: the race at 8 p.m., 50 laps
Check the live schedule before you book dinner. The race has a long future here: Formula 1 has extended its Las Vegas deal through 2037. Max Verstappen won the 2025 race.
Where does the track go?
The circuit runs counterclockwise. According to GPFans' 2024 track guide, the start and finish line sits on land that was a parking lot, with a long straight north up Koval Lane. Turns 6 to 9 wrap around the Sphere, and the cars then run west along Sands Avenue. The big set piece is the straight on Las Vegas Boulevard from turn 12 to turn 14: 1.92 km, about 1.2 miles, past the Venetian, Caesars Palace, Paris Las Vegas and the Fountains of Bellagio. Turns 14 to 17 follow East Harmon Avenue before the final kink back to the start line.
See our Sphere guide for the area. Formula 1 also built Grand Prix Plaza, which it calls a 39-acre complex and the world's largest Formula 1 attraction. We could not confirm whether you can visit it outside race week.

How do you get around during race week?
Plan for closures, and plan to walk. The 2026 race-week closure schedule was not readable when we checked, so the best guide is the 2025 pattern from Clark County. In 2025, Koval Lane between Rochelle Avenue and Harmon Avenue was fully closed around the clock from November 15 to 24. During race week, closures around the track ran from 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, with a closure window starting at 1 p.m. on race days. Roads were fully open to local traffic at 2 a.m. on November 23. Clark County said the schedule could change.
The Las Vegas Monorail says it will run nonstop from Tuesday, November 17 at 7 a.m. to Monday, November 23 at 3 a.m. It runs parallel to the Strip, behind the resorts, so it avoids the surface streets. Our Monorail guide has the stations. Formula 1's own fan guide also points to designated taxi and ride-hail pick-up and drop-off points during race week.
In 2025 the Regional Transportation Commission also detoured several bus routes, including the Deuce, so check live detours. Our getting around guide covers everyday options.
Construction is already under way. Overnight lane reductions on Las Vegas Boulevard between Sands and Harmon run from midnight to 9 a.m. on weekdays through October 30, according to Fox5. The sidewalk in front of the Bellagio fountains, between Flamingo Road and Bellagio Drive, is closed from September 14 to November 9 for a hospitality build, and southbound Las Vegas Boulevard is down to one lane there.
Ways to experience Grand Prix week
| Option | What we know | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| General Admission | The cheapest ticket zone on the official ticket page. | Prices on the page we saw were shown in euros. Check dollar prices before you buy. |
| Grandstand seats | Zones include the Turn 3 East Harmon Zone, the T-Mobile Zone at Sphere Grandstands, the Lewis Hamilton Grandstands and the Heineken Silver Main Grandstand at the start line. | Prices rise by zone, so compare views before choosing. |
| Free Fan Experience | In 2024 it was free, daytime, on Las Vegas Boulevard across from Wynn Las Vegas, on November 22 and 23. | First come, first served. A 2026 version is not confirmed. |
| A hotel or bar view | The Strip straight passes the Venetian, Caesars Palace, Paris Las Vegas and the Bellagio fountains. | We could not verify which rooms or venues have a view. Ask before you book. |
| Skip the Strip | Formula 1's fan guide suggests Fremont Street, the Arts District and Red Rock Canyon, about 30 minutes away. | Closures around the track still affect Strip driving. |
Where can you watch without a grandstand ticket?
In 2024, Formula 1 ran a free daytime Fan Experience on Las Vegas Boulevard across from Wynn Las Vegas, with team appearances, live entertainment and food trucks. Tickets were free. No opened source confirms a 2026 edition, so watch the official channels.
Formula 1 also describes an F1 Fanzone, but we could not confirm its cost. If you want to see the cars, a General Admission ticket is the cheapest zone on the official ticket page. We found no 2026 dates for pedestrian bridge closures, so check the official transportation hub.
If you only want the atmosphere, the area around the Sphere and the High Roller is where the race infrastructure shows up, as the photos here show.
How much do hotels cost race week?
We did not find an official room-rate report for race week in 2025 or 2026, so these are 2024 benchmarks from the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The average Friday-to-Sunday rate at an MGM or Caesars hotel was $571.10 before taxes and resort fees. For a three-night stay on November 22 to 24, the average was $526.58 across 12 MGM Strip properties and $637.88 across eight Caesars properties. The lowest MGM rate was $212 at Excalibur and the highest was $1,150 at The Cosmopolitan.
In September 2024, analyst Truist Securities said rates were tracking $200 to $800 a night at MGM and $150 to $400 at Caesars, compared with $500 to $1,400 and $150 to $600 a year earlier. Check live rates for your dates.
Our guide to the best time to visit Las Vegas shows how November compares with other months.

Is it worth visiting Las Vegas during the Grand Prix?
It depends on what you want. To watch the race, book early and plan your transport around closures. If you do not care about F1, expect slower traffic near the track and construction.
The race has been economically significant. The state and local tax figures above run from $77M in 2023 to $43M in 2025, and Formula 1 puts the 2023 to 2025 impact at $3.2 billion for Southern Nevada. The 2024 study was prepared by Applied Analysis for Formula 1, so treat these as the race's own figures. For a visitor, the more useful point is that this is now a fixture, not a one-off.
